These were so much better than I ever anticipated. I bought these for a gift and had a really hard time giving them away after I saw how gorgeous they were. WAY more expensive looking than the price I paid. I'd highly recommend these to anyone! -- WAY better than I expected.

The item specifications show the earring length as 1.4 inches and this is true, but keep in mind that's from the top of the hook to the bottom. The actual dangly part is more along the lines of 1 inch.

They look thicker in the image for some reason, or more luxurious I guess but they're not too bad in person.

Last gripe: the amethysts are not nearly as purple-y as the picture shows, and it was a gift for somebody that loves purple so that was kind of important.

The knotwork really shines, and I doubt if anybody cares since its such a trifling detail, but the knots on each earring mirror each other instead of two copies of the same knot.

What I really liked is they not only came in the cute little 'sueded cloth' drawstring pouch, but also a box with a lid which made it less of a pain to wrap up, since no gift wrapping is available.

Not too heavy, not too light, and arrived right on time! Wheee! -- So so
