I bought this cleaner because the price was appropriate, and I was tired of cleaning my diamond ring with a toothbrush and solution. It really does make jewelry shine, though I must admit I add a cap-full of solution that I bought on Amazon. Without it, I can't speak to the machine's efficiency. The timer is three minutes long, which is perfect. I can clean my ring as I'm brushing my teeth in the morning. All in all, a good purchase. -- Gets the job done
